I love a reason to get together… and love hosting a party.
But when you are married, with a child, finding some good quality girl time can be a challenge. The last time I had some girl time was when a bunch of us visited Delplane Cellars in June. It was a great time, but a little pricy (my favorite bottle was their most expensive) and a little too far for comfort. I mean I love the idea of drinking in the Shenandoah Valley, but I like the idea less when I realize I have an hour drive ahead of me.
Don’t get me wrong… I had so much fun. So much so, that I’m thinking about revamping old invitation of mine and hosting my own wine and cheese tasting party.
Here’s what I sent out a couple of years ago, back when I had two roommates.
Obviously, I was going for a sort of French theme. For this party I think I’m going to use some of the fabric in my stash to make some napkins. I loved this simple tutorial from A Beautiful Mess. Other than that, I haven’t settled on a theme. I have a lot of other ideas swirling around my head.
Here’s my inspiration board for this party.
I still have to pick a date and send out invitations. I’m hoping to do something towards the end of the summer.
Any other mommy’s out there craving a little girl time? What’s your favorite thing to do when you all get together?
